MCA Productions is on a mission to empower students through hands-on media experience—building skills in photo, video, and journalism while creating content that serves their school and community.
We are a student-led enterprise at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA, specializing in comprehensive coverage of events, news, and sports. We produce LTV, our campus news channel on YouTube, and our annual yearbook, The Pylon, as well as provide content highlighting our campus and community on our Instagram.
Our purpose is to provide professional photography and videography services in our community and to clients across multiple areas, including weddings, Quinceañeras, and corporate events.

My name is Miguel Ruiz, and I am a senior at Leuzinger High School and the CEO of MCA Productions. I’m a photographer, videographer, with experience covering sports, community events, and professional productions. As CEO, I help lead our student-run production team by managing projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring we create high-quality media content that tells meaningful stories and represents our community.
My name is Nicolle Ascencio and I am the Co-CEO of MCA Productions! I have been with MCA for 3 years. My job is about assisting the CEO with anything needed, and making sure things run smoothly. Besides MCA, I enjoy singing, writing, and listening to music. Overall, being a part of MCA has helped me grow as a leader, strengthen my communication, and teamwork. These experiences have inspired me to always give my best, and I am committed to delivering high quality work, ensuring every client has a positive experience.
My name is Kassandra Escobedo, and I am a senior from Leuzinger High School and I am the Communication Manager for the student-led internship called MCA Productions. As the communications manager my role is to communicate with our clients for meetings etc. I mostly work with our Social media team to put out our creativity work, get stuff out on time and publish school news as well. As a photographer as well I will help out new photographers, guide them with the beginning steps, would like to photograph things I haven’t before, and meet new people along the way.
My name is Alejandro Martinez and I am a senior at Leuzinger High School. I am this year's Director of Photography for our student-led enterprise MCA Production. As Director of Photography I am in charge of taking portraits for clients and our school sports which I am so honored to do. This is my fourth year with the academy and I am so excited for what is to come. I am so hyped to shoot sports games, pro jobs, teach our next year's board, communicate with clients and most of all have the best and final year with MCA. I also am a part of the social media team and help with creating new creative posts and stories which will help us grow. Overall I am so grateful for the opportunity to collaborate and share my final year at High School with MCA.
My name is Zadis Zelaya, I am a Senior at Leuzinger High School. I am one of the Chief Photographers and the Treasurer of the student-led enterprise called Multi-Media Careers Academy Productions. As a one year professional photographer, I cover sports, guide new photographers, network with local organizations, assist in client projects, and handle financial paperwork to organize budgets. Along with that, I collaborate with the social media managers to maintain an active online presence by showcasing our crews’ collective work.
My name Is Aedan Phillips, I am a Senior at Leuzinger High School. I am one of the Chief Photographers of the student-led enterprise called MCA Productions. As a professional photographer for about two years now, I help with aiding new photographers with assistance, I help out on jobs and projects with my crew and newer photographers as well. While also being a photographer for MCA Productions, I manage my own media team on the side which is mainly related to music photography, videography, graphic design and photojournalism.
My name is Alison Aguilar, I am a senior at Leuzinger high school. I am secretary for the student-led enterprise called MCA Productions. I have been a part of MCA for about two years now and one of my main responsibilities as secretary is to make sure that everyone stays up to date with the going ons of the academy. I help touch base with our clients as well as our schools administrators and other academies to help ensure everything runs smoothly. On top of that, I am also a student photographer for MCA and I am so excited to have the opportunity to help this academy grow into the very best it can be.
My name is Ruby Arellano, and I am a senior at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, California. I am a photographer for the student-led enterprise, Multi-Media Careers Academy Productions. Over the past three years, I have documented sports, ceremonies, cadet activities, school functions, and professional gatherings. I enjoy using photography to capture genuine emotions, meaningful details, and moments that tell a story. Along with taking photos, I mentor new photographers by teaching them how to use a camera, improve their photography skills, and recognize the best moments to capture. I enjoy helping others build their confidence while contributing to a team that creates professional, high-quality visual content with creativity and purpose.
